Ísar Product Devisions
Professional division
The beginnings of the Ísar Professional multi-tasking design can be traced back to a highly innovative prototype looking a lot like a bus, built in 2006. The 23 seat AlVeg prototype proved to be not just the fastest passenger vehicle ever crossing the rocky tracks of the Highlands, by far, but also gave passengers absolute pour-a-drink-at-full-speed comfort, thanks to the first HGCS suspension system. Next, literally hundreds of professionals in rescue, 4x4 tourism, utilities and more were brought to the drawing board by Ísar‘s founder. The result was a revolutionary customer-led design now coming to market as Ísar, to serve professionals in tourism, rescue, utilities, safari, mining, resource exploration, police, SWAT teams, disaster relief, peace corps, remote scientific project servicing, civil defense, overlanding… and the list goes on.
Defense division
Arms procurement is now frenetic. Military strategies are scrutinized, new vehicle types emerge. A plethora of open buggies are now available for 2-6 troopers to move fast. But in f.ex. snow, none of them get very far, just when mobility becomes critical in a conflict. Ísar carries up to 20 troops, fast as a buggy, Floats on snow and soggy ground. Very low profile. Modularity to economically adapt to a multitude of mission profiles, including many now served by slow tracked vehicles. Those not familiar with the highly modified 4x4s that have toiled every day for decades in gruesome Icelandic Highland winter conditions, are both astonished and excited by Ísar‘s unprecedented performance/utility envelope.
